Investor Retirement (Subclass 405)

This visitor visa is designed for self-funded retirees with the capacity to invest the designated deposit and financially support themselves, aged over 55, have no dependants (other than a partner) and who want to reside in Australia during their retirement years. The visa requires a designated investment into the Tasmanian Public Finance Corporation (TASCORP) to be maintained for the life of the visa, and endorsement from the Tasmanian Government.

In order to apply for Tasmanian Investor Retirement visa endorsement, follow these steps:

  1. Check your eligibility against Department of Immigration and Citizenship basic requirements before applying for state visa endorsement.
  2. Complete and return the application form (available via the link below), along with any supplementary information requested throughout the form.

Please do not send any documentation that is not requested throughout the application form. If additional information is required applicants will be contacted by email. The average processing time for applications is two (2) weeks, however some cases may take longer due to individual case complexity. 

There is no fee for Tasmanian state visa endorsement.
