Visa options
Depending on the nature and the duration of the position, there are two commonly used visa options for Tasmanian employers.
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS)
The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme allows employers in regional Australia to fill a skilled position from the international labour market. This is a permanent visa which requires a minimum of two years full-time employment with the sponsoring business.

Temporary Business Visa (Subclass 457)
The Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship visa allows employers to sponsor skilled, overseas workers for temporary positions ranging between one day and four years. More information
