“My favourite thing about living in Tasmania is that there is always something new to do and explore.”
Originally from Malaysia, Leon is currently managing a chiropractic clinic in North Hobart. He migrated to Tasmania to advance his skills and provide specialised chiropractic care to Tasmanians. He was looking for a place with a great lifestyle and to practice his profession – Tasmania ticked all his boxes.
Tasmania offers world-class hiking and nature tracks to explore, something Leon thoroughly enjoys to calm his mind and improve his focus after a week of serving his patients.
“With world-renowned seasonal events like Dark Mofo, wine festivals and yacht races, an abundance of nature surrounding you and the opportunity to trek into it, Tasmania provides me with a special living experience while enjoying the various artistic and athletic events hosted by its residents.”
Leon encourages migrants to have an open mind to living long-term in Tasmania. The people here are exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
“In this close-knit community, kindness and helping each other goes a long way and that is what makes a community thrive in a land far away.”
Leon has observed that Tasmania needs more alternative and affordable therapies, especially in the field of neuro-musculoskeletal health. He encourages health and allied health professionals to come to Tasmania, develop their career and enjoy the lifestyle.
