Subclass 491 Tasmanian Business Operator Pathway
The following attributes are used to rank Registrations of Interest. Only the most competitive candidates are invited to apply for nomination.
Candidates who have at least one of the orange-plus priority attributes are a high priority for nomination and, after Gold and Green passes, will be the first candidates with an Orange pass to be invited to apply for nomination.
To qualify for green or orange-plus priority attributes, employment must be skilled (ANZSCO 1-3).

GREEN
Your business employs more than 10 local Australian citizens or permanent or provisional visa holders.
ORANGE-PLUS
You have earnings from your business of at least $98,218 per year or $49.70 per hour.
You have invested more than $200,000 into your current business operation.
Your business has generated more than $500,000 in past year.
ORANGE
You have a skills assessment related to your current business activities.
You have earnings from your business of at least $73,150 per year / $1,407 per week or $37.02 per hour.
You have earnings from your business of at least $67,600 per year / $1,300 per week or $34.21 per hour (excluding overtime or casual loading).
You have a qualification related to your current business activities (minimum Certificate III, not including online courses or qualifications gained on the basis of Recognition of Prior Learning).
You have operated your business in Tasmania for more than 18 consecutive months.
You employ at least 3 full time employees who are Australian citizens or permanent residents or provisional visa holders.
You speak Proficient / Superior, or you have an exemption to the English language requirements based on your passport country.
You have resided in Tasmania for 3 years or more.
You have resided in Tasmania for at least 2 years.
Your spouse is employed in a skilled role (ANZSCO 1-3) or has been running a business in Tasmania for the past 6 months.
Your spouse has completed a minimum AQF 6 qualification with a Tasmanian education provider in Tasmania.
