Devanshi Patel, Clinical Team Leader, Regis Aged Care

“The day we came here we didn’t have any work or even a house to live in, we were not sure how we were going to survive, but Tasmania has given us everything what we wanted. So, I am very grateful to be here.”

Devanshi migrated from Sydney to Tasmania. Originally from India, Devanshi and her husband moved to Tasmania for work and to secure a permanent visa.

Devanshi is currently working as a Clinical Team Leader at Regis Aged Care and her husband is a Warehouse Supervisor at Quality Equipment in Invermay, Launceston. Devanshi likes the people in Tasmania who have welcomed them with open arms. She is committed to serve the community through her nursing occupation in aged care.

“As a frontline and critical worker, I believe I have an added responsibility towards the people of Tasmania, especially for the elderly, and I am confident about performing the responsibilities sincerely utilising my skills and experience.”

Devanshi believes that anyone looking for an affordable place with friendly people should consider moving to Tasmania. She also thinks that Tasmania has lot of job opportunities for health and allied health professionals. Tasmania has provided Devanshi and her spouse the environment they wanted. They also believe that Tasmania provides better pathways for permanent residency than any other state or territory.
