Liping Cong, Accountant, Deloitte Launceston

“A good place for work-life balance with an easy commute to work and the people are friendly.”

Tasmanian university graduate, Liping Cong chose the north of the state to embark on her Tasmanian journey, settling in Tasmania’s second largest city of Launceston. With a population of just over 90,000 people, Launceston is a picturesque regional city located on the Tamar River.

Liping was included on the Dean’s Honour Roll from the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics for her study in a Master of Professional Accounting (Marketing). Taking advantage of the networking opportunities a smaller city provides, Liping was able to build on her successful studies by joining the Vice-Chancellor Leadership Program and volunteering as Treasurer with the Tasmanian University Business Economics Society. Clearly demonstrating her commitment to her chosen profession she secured a graduate position with Deloitte in its Audit and Assurance Division.

The north of the state offers a wide variety of interesting tourism destinations which Liping enjoys exploring. Surrounded by fabulous food and wine destinations, Launceston offers a perfect combination of local delights to discover along with heritage sites, art galleries and museums.
