Md Abdullah Al Sakib, Planning Compliance Officer, Kingborough Council

“I was looking for a place to give my family a better life and Tasmania is providing me a safe environment to raise my family.”

Originally from Bangladesh, Abdullah moved to Tasmania in September 2019. Abdullah and his family were looking for a place to settle for a better future and they found Tasmania ideal for that purpose. He and his family like the weather, relaxed cultural vibes, lifestyle and people in Tasmania.

“Tasmania has low crime and offers a safe environment. People from different cultures and backgrounds across the world make their home in Tasmania.”

Abdullah is currently working as a Planning Compliance Officer at the Kingborough Council. He studied a Master of law, a Master of Accounting and a Diploma of Leadership and Management degree in Australia. However, he always intended to utilise his law degree and work in a role related to law and compliance. He is pleased to be working in a role of his preference in this beautiful state.

Abdullah’s wife is working as an Early Learning Educator at Goodstart Early Learning Centre and his 6 years old daughter is currently attending preparatory class at a local school.  Abdullah and his family enjoy their workplace relationships and their daughter is happy at school.

Abdullah spent more than 5 years interstate, but he found a home in Tasmania. He encourages anyone with right attitude to come to Tasmania and see the benefits for themselves.
