Subclass 491 Tasmanian Skilled Employment Pathway
The following attributes are used to rank Registrations of Interest. Only the most competitive candidates are invited to apply for nomination.
Candidates who have at least one of the orange-plus priority attributes are a high priority for nomination and, after Gold and Green passes, will be the first candidates with an Orange pass to be invited to apply for nomination.
To qualify for gold, green or orange-plus priority attributes, employment must be skilled (ANZSCO 1-3).

GOLD
You have a skills assessment and directly related employment for at least the past 3 months included in the critical roles list.
GREEN
You have been employed in Tasmania for more than 2 years in a skilled role (ANZSCO 1-3) directly related to your skills assessment.
You have been employed in Tasmania in a skilled role (ANZSCO 1-3) for at least the last 9 months directly related to your skills assessment.
ORANGE-PLUS
You are currently paid a base salary of at least $98,218 per year or $49.71 per hour (excluding overtime or casual loading).
You are currently employed in an ANZSCO 1-3 role and you have at least two years prior Australian experience in a skilled role (ANZSCO Skill Level 1-3) in the same industry as your skills assessment.
You have been employed in Tasmania skilled role (ANZSCO Skill Level 1-3) for at least the last 6 months in an area directly related to your skills assessment.
You have been employed in an ANZSCO Skill Level 1-3 in Tasmania for at least the last 3 months directly related to your Tasmanian study.
You have been employed in Tasmania for more than 18 months in an ANZSCO Skill Level 1-3 role which is not directly related to your skills assessment.
ORANGE
You have been employed in Tasmania for the past 12 months in an ANZSCO Skill Level 1-3 role in the same industry area as your skills assessment.
You are currently paid a base salary, or receive income from your business, of at least $73,150 per year / $1,407 per week or $37.02 per hour (excluding overtime or casual loading).
You are currently paid a base salary, or receive income from your business, of at least $67,600 per year / $1,300 per week or $34.21 per hour (excluding overtime or casual loading).
You have been employed in Tasmania for the past 9 months in an ANZSCO Skill Level 1-3 role in the same industry area as your skills assessment.
You speak Proficient / Superior English, or you have an exemption to the English language requirements based on your passport country.
You have lived in Tasmania for at least the past 3 years.
You have lived in Tasmania for at least the past 2 years.
You are employed in ANZSCO 4-5 role and hold a qualification related to this role (minimum Certificate III, not including online courses or qualifications gained on the basis of Recognition of Prior Learning).
Your spouse is employed in skilled role (ANZSCO 1-3) or has been running a business in Tasmania for the past 6 months.
Your spouse has completed a minimum AQF 6 qualification with a Tasmanian education provider in Tasmania.
